I made pot stickers again today, this time with wrappers made from scratch. It took FOREVER but hand-made wrappers definitely taste way better than store-bought wrappers. They're also a lot easier to work with, so I was able to put more meat into them and they weren't super puny like my last ones. I don't have any pics right now, but I froze most of them so I'll take a picture next time. I'll probably post the recipe on my sketch blog. I made a batch of pork and cabbage dumplings and beef and green onion (no chinese chives available) dumplings. Pork definitely tasted better. Also it was a million times easier to make these in a "kitchen" (which is really a bar--Val and I don't have a kitchen in the area we're renting so I have to go upstairs to the main part of the house) than it was to make in a tiny dorm room. Still made a horrible mess, though. Val gave the pot stickers a thumbs up but he was drunk so I'm not sure if I should believe him.
